Epic Snowjobs.....

OK...I am 51 years old. I lived in Rowan County from the time I was 3 years old, in 1968, until I was 14, in March of 1980. And I moved back to Rowan County when I was not quite 30 years old. been here for about 23 years now... A total of about 33, 34 years of my life....And here's the point----- I do NOT recall, nor can I find in the archives of the Salisbury Post and online sites, where this County----ever had these epic snowstorms that measured in FEET. The deepest one time snowfall, was 28" for Rowan County. In 1962, a series of snowstorms came in March of that year, every Wednesday afternoon, and dumped about foot each time. Even then, the snow would melt between these storm, which was a "freak and a fluke of nature," not seen before or since. I'm tired of this "back when I was a kid, it used to snow all the time...." Uh, no, it did not. No more and no less, has this happened. Even with all the Global Warming, we still have the same kinds of Winters now, as we did..."When ~~ I ~~was a kid..." This region, the Piedmont of North Carolina, is not known for snowfalls that total more than a foot for several years at a time. We live in the "rain shadow," of the Appalachian Mountains, and though they are not a very tall range, they do affect our weather. Many times have a seen storms break up over the mountains, on radar, before they reach this region. More often than not this is what happens. And I have read books that described this region before Columbus' false account of "discovering America," as "Plains." Hardly any trees in this region, it was rolling grasslands over much of the region dotted with wooded areas. The notion that a "Squirrel could get in a tree on the coast, and go inland to the mountains and past them, without ever touching the ground, because of the carpet of trees," might not be an accurate account. Even during the last great Ice Age, the climate here, wasn't as bad, even with glaciers just several hundred miles to our north, we had a climate like Chicago or Milwaukee during that time. I do not remember these epic snowfalls, here in the Piedmont of North Carolina, nor can i find them in archives of weather. Why? Because they didn't occur, and people like to make more of a lie than search for the facts. This is how religion and Republicans stay in business.... Had to get that shot in there.... Let it snow, my friends. let it snow.

Tolerating Intolerant Hermits...

Let’s cut to the chase. I am not tolerant. When I have, in the past, attempted to be “tolerant,” the only thing that happened was those that was trying to be tolerant of, saw it as capitulation. It was seen as weakness, and a chink in the armor. I was, in their appraisal, beginning to be broken down, and soon I would cave in completely to----Tolerance of their worldview. I am only in conflict with family and friends, when I don tolerate their ideologies. It’s not that I don’t support their Right to ideologies and opinions, of course, its just that again, this means something other than what I mean by it----Rejection. They start it up, knowing I will argue, and blame me for starting when I, and this is the worst thing I can say, “don’t want to talk about it.” that right there has gotten me in more trouble, because right then and there, I am “one of them,” and people automatically assume that I am NOT ‘like them.’ Which is a good call, 9 times out of 10. It comes back to me that I think I’m better than they are, I think I’m smarter, as they say. Not me. I’ve never said I was “tolerant,” and if someone feels “rejected,” that’s all on them. Not me. You see, both Jennifer and I are more like Hermits. A “Hermit” doesn’t live in a cave, unclean, unshaven, unkempt with green teeth and animal skins for clothing. Sometimes I think that this image might not be so bad but, I digress. Hermits can live in the city, town, or a cave. And because we are Hermits, and you can ask anyone, we rarely go anywhere at all, except where we need to go, or where we want to go. How many times have we been to your place??? But mainly, we stay at home, because over the years, Jennifer and I have created a home environment that keeps us entertained. We can stay here for days on end, never having to really leave the house. We have each other, the kids, (the ones who act in a family way) and Facebook. And what this means is, that it all. Comes. To. Us. It comes HERE. We don’t go out a start the troubles we are accused of starting with family and friends, because we DON’T socialize with them, which usually meant bashing the Hell out of those family and friends not present at the time. Jennifer and I are not good at “tolerance.” Never said we were. I knew a guy who was in that PAC, La resistance, with us, and he was a “friend” for a while with me on Facebook. Notice my small list of them. That’s the way I like to keep it. What is left now, are the people I do not want to do without, who matter to me, whose opinions I want to see and hear. But anyway, this guy wanted me to answer for “Liberal Intolerance.” Now, my “thing” is that you have to take the bad with the good, and just like the Rightwing Conservatives, we Lefties, or as for Jennifer and I “Left of Central...” have our own intolerant assholes. Me being one of them. And Jennifer is even less tolerant than I am. For one to expect me to answer ~for it all~ was a bit bizarre. Because it ought to be clear that I can handle myself. One would think that after reading my writings and posts that I pretty much already have my own answers and opinions. After trying to answer him with the Yin and Yang kind of answer, in the light and darkness there is little of both, that both ‘sides” have their assholes, he said for me “not to get my panties in a wad,” and we had some words, and I unfriended him. Life is too short for this shit, especially on social media.... But I have seen this guy a couple of times since, and like everyone else, its different in person. He quickly gets away form me when he sees me and I notice it. So much for the bravery, huh? Believe me, I want the confrontation. You all know that. But, I cant slap and bastard if he wont get within 20 feet of me. But if you want “tolerance,” ask those many many people, family and friends, who are not tolerant either and blame Jennifer and I for it and their woes. Because we don’t go along with family and friend rumors. if you tell us about some dirt on someone, Jennifer and I wonder how you know, and what was your part in it, and if there are some things you ain’t saying about how, and why you know... And why? Because its none of our damn business, and secondly, you might not ought to be talking about it. if you want tolerance, ask the “infantile Communists” who we all mistakenly call “Liberals” or some Church on a membership drive, or as I call it, “recruiting,’ and you might get some “tolerance” form them. Anyone selling “tolerance,” is also selling you something and want your wallet, not your soul.....

The Good Guys and The Bad Guys.....

I got to talking to someone about the current politics of the realm.... Wow, how does THAT happen around me??? But anyway, in this conversation a point was proven to me by my own "theories...." The man I was talking to was shocked that I said that "anyone who commits a crime should face the punishment." You see, Right wingers firmly believe that we uh, "liberals," are all for crime. We are all for corruption. We are all for...Well, lets cut to the chase.... Republican/Conservatives= ALL that's is GOOD, they wear the white hats, and do the good works of the Lord..... While Democrat/Liberals= ALL that is BAD, we wear the black caps and masks, and do the bidding of Satan.... That's it. Right there. And when I said that "IF Hillary, ~or anyone else,~ Right, Left, Repube, Democrook, even those of us who are Centrists, my friends, my family, even ME, no matter what wing of the Turkey they are on, (cause its all on the same bird,) did indeed do all these heinous things, commit crimes, do wrong, do "bad," from just little ol' me, all the way up to the highest office of the land, then yes, she, ~or anyone else,~should be punished..."
Here's the point----"But, I thought you voted for her?" he asked. "I did," said I. And he was rather incredulous about my position. I said, "I didn't vote for her as "fan," I did NOT vote for her because I LIKED her, I really don't, Bernie Sanders was who I wanted to be able to vote for, and the DNC made damn sure that he didn't "make it..." Hell, I'm not even a "Democrat.." The guy seemed floored... I dunno...This even more uh, shocking to the gentleman I was speaking to. He then asked "But why didn't you vote for Trump?" It's as if you commit high treason if you didn't vote the for the hot ticket, that you somehow escaped the power of sensationalism, that you didn't go along----with everybody else-----But, like soooo many of his peers, this man, a conservative guy, (and a good man, I like him,) seems to believe that there is just 2 sides; theirs, and the "enemy." That's it. That's all. And, that no matter what the person or thing you "like" or "love," should be left in the free and clear of the bad things they do. It's OK---if it's THEIR guy that does corrupt things. It's OK---if it's their guy who does contradictory things in spite of what they "preach." And--- In believing that we uh, "liberals" support crime and encourage it, he was shocked at my sense of "fair play." I think they are told, all the time, that we "liberals" are behind every blade of grass, under their beds, in their closets, waiting to pounce and take away their souls, and their rights, which of course, ONLY they and they alone have---"Rights..." And that we are sending out armies of robbers, engineers of corruption, and bad guys of all and every sort, from some kind of "High Command" somewhere.... He said that I was "One of the GOOD ones...." I really said nothing more, and turned the conversation to other things.... "One of the GOOD ones," is more of an insult than a compliment to me, but, he was doing the best he could, with what he was given and see in his world view, same as me...And I didn't let on that I found his comment both predictable and right along with how I see them and the uh, current political situation within the realm....

The Southern Heretic

I am THE "Southern Heretic." Back in 1998 I began using this moniker, this alias. I used this name for a column in a bi-monthly entertainment and alternative newspaper to showcase my writings of what it is to be a "Southern Heretic." A southerner, who is not typical of the lot. My articles have been plagarized ever since. I have a postmark( the poor mans copyright) to prove this as well as dated material from the bi monthly newspaper called "Tomorrow And Tonight," that operated from around 1997 to around the year 2001. I have a letter from the editors, saying that I was there best writer. All others who call themselves "The Southern Heretic," and who is not Everette L. (Butch)Young II, is NOT the Southern Heretic. I am the one and ONLY "Southern Heretic." All others using the "Southern Heretic" for their writings, should remove my created name, "The Southern Heretic," from their blogs and other news sources and outlets and cease and desist using what I created. Central Casting For A Job... Part II

Not only do American employers(The REAL PROBLEM with economy) cast for jobs,they also "feel you out" to see if you will fit in to their cliche,their little "club"their little "group" or "gang." keep in mind that it DOES NOT matter how well you do your job,they need to know if you can, or will, or cant, or wont, keep their filthy little business secrets,how they circumvent the laws,the rules,the guidelines etc.,what rules they bend and break to run their business.99% of ALL American Businesses cant even follow their own policies they underwrite and expect their employees to follow. Some employees can break the rules,circumvent policy and proceedure,because they are "IN" They are part of the group,the gang,a fully trusted member of the cliche.(Remember High School---we NEVER really grow up when it comes right down to it)Now this employee, usually sucks at doing the job,job knowledge,but the reason this employee isnt fired is because they can and will keep secrets. They are on top of who is fucking who,who is gay and who isnt,who goes to this church,or that one or---who doesnt attend church...They know how many days everbody has missed but yet all the days they've missed is because their reasons were more important than yours.Theyre the supervisors snitch,the bosses family member,and believe me they can get by with all but anything. Employers will believe their crazy shit no matter how ridiculous it is over the truth.Employers are for more worried about appeasing certain employees than the jobs and tasks of the day to day functions.When you apply for a job---you are NOT applying to do a job---your applying to "fit in" with a bunch of strangers who had better like you from the word go. It doesnt matter how ell you do your job,your knowledge,your expertise,your experience. What matters is whether or not youre gonna side with the right cliche if someone is found out to be fucking someone there.

Would you buy,or build a house in Malibu, California and still believe youre not an imbecile?Let me see if I get this straight...just for an example...Aunt Flossy leaves you millions.You have this Beach Boy fantasy that if you only lived in California,your chances of getting laid will increase.With Aunt Flossy's millions,you pack up your belongings on your Mini Cooper, and think that " Californy is tha place fer yew ta be" You contact a "realtor" there,and you buy or build a million dollar home,and settle in. Now,because you,like 90% of Americans,believe that "It -Will -NEVER -Happen -To -Me" and If it does, "Im -Rich -So -All -I -Gotta -Do -is -Lob -Money -At -The -Problem" crowd which is again,the VAST majority of American thinking. You have just bought or built a house on a MAJOR EARTHQUAKE FAULTLINE,in an arid climate that BURNS to the DAMN GROUND every 3 or 4 years,and after that,the RAINS will cause MUDSLIDES that will wash your ass right off the hill.Shake,bake,and lake. But,you try to convince yourself and others that you are "Intrepid and brave,a real out there kind of guy,living for the now,in the moment,because hey hell,you cant take it with you" Then...when The earth moves and you AINT getting none of that WAY OVER RATED California Pussy,and you sweat fires,quakes and mudslides EVERY YEAR and NOT just "every few years... maybe..." Like the "realtor" said. Heh heh. When you cry like a pussy on TV about how you just lost it all----you still wont have to worry,will you? You can rebuild right,Insurance!!!! My homeowners will take care of it right? In most cases...wrong. They,the insurance companies already KNOW what happens there,and if you get Insurance you will have PAID for it with everything you have EXCEPT your kid sisters virginity and your mothers' special "skills" The insurance companies KNOW youre an idiot,they KNOW youre a sucker. UNLESS--they themselves are as DELUSIONAL as you are,and live and work right there in the zone,knowing that somebody else will ALWAYS pay the bill..... I have NO SYMPATHY for ANYONE who lives 20 feet below sea level,who live right on the beach in Hurricane prone regions,or anyone who lives in a trailer in Kansas or Oklahoma.I have no tolerance for idiots who wont leave their homes for safety and try to wait out the storm---firmly BELIEVING that the US Government will replace a tarpaper shack with a mansion because you "lost" far less than what you think you deserve in compensation.Firmly Believing that your own personal US Coast Guard rescue helicopter will scoop you off your roof in the nick of time,because you didnt heed the warnings.Because even after being told,and fully KNOWING and UNDERSTANDING,after being WARNED for DECADES that your region is NOT SAFE---You CHOSE to stay put. FUCK YOU. Then turn a round and bitch and complain that the mobile home that was given to you,that is actually a goddamn upgrade from the hole you were living in is not good enough for you? Well,as of this writing,The sewer nation of Haiti has suffered a major earthquake.Have you noticed how fat response was,compared to NO RESPONSE for Hurricane Katrina....? Isnt wonderful that your government gives more of a damn about a foriegn sewer than the City of New Orleans? But then...thats the way it goes right. What goes around come around.
